DuSai: hidden treasure amongst the tea gardens

There is a place amongst the tea gardens of Sylhet in Moulvibazar called DuSai Resort and Spa that completely mesmerizes me. It is a relaxing retreat with a welcoming vibe. Its architecture, landscape design, gardens, water canal that wraps around it and environment call me to forget about everything and just let my soul wonder and be free. I know it sounds over the top, but that’s how I feel every time I visit this beautiful place.

My kids love to swim in the pool, ride bikes or simply run in the garden. The garden is full of tropical flowers and plants. Even the stone vase at the check in area has striking red flowers floating in it.

We stayed at the Honeymoon Villa with a private pool and that was the best thing ever! Morning to night kids were splashing in it. We could even jump into the pool from our bedroom and that was an unforgettable feeling.

Everyday was a feast! For those who travel to Bangladesh for the first time, you must try the Bangladeshi Chinese. It’s a fusion of South Asian and Chinese cuisines that’s unlike any I have tried before. At DuSai Bangladeshi Chinese is really good and leaves nonone hungry :)

One of my favorite spots at DuSai must be a spa. It’s so beautiful with a Koi fish pond and glass rooms but I forgot to take a picture of it, so please check it out on the DuSai site.

Needless to say I wish to come back to DuSai time and time again! If I were a writer, I would spend my days here writing a novel and chasing inspiring moments. Oh well, maybe some other time :)
