Corona virus school lockdown ideas

Corona Virus has affected us all worldwide. In a matter of days all has turned upside down as we all try to make sense of it. For a lot of families it is also a time when schools are closed and parents are thinking of good ways to keep kids entertained and sometimes just busy. In this confusing time a lot of my friends with kids have shared wonderful resources of things to do with your little ones and I am going to share them with you as well :) I hope you find it useful and if you have some ideas to add, let me know and I would be happy to spread the word.

Making Rainbow Drawings

By my instagram mom friend from Spain @YESVIDA who was making these beautiful drawings with her kids to place into the windows to cheer people up. This idea originally started by schools in Italy.

Home Schooling Routine

Joy has shared on her blog how to construct fun and productive home schooling routine. She goes in great detail how she does it with her 5th, 3rd and 1st grader kids.

How am I going to entertain my kids for weeks on end? All day long?! You don’t have to! Your job is not to entertain them! Let yourself off the hook now from this entertaining business! Your job will be guiding their education, helping them work on character growth, refining their life skills like cooking and chores. Your job is to put your kids to work. Humans thrive in work. Work is not all hard and bad; it can be rewarding and fun. This is your job, not extended weeks of entertainment. We would all lose our minds without productivity. We need a goal, a purpose, a passion.” - Joy Petersen
